Yikes! Blog-lag!

I'm sorry that we've had some "blog lag" for the past month. Things have been so busy here at Court Street that finding a moment to blog has been more difficult than I ever imagiend it would be. So...here is a fast and furious update with a promise that I'll do better!

• On Pentecost sunday we had a fantastic celebration! We had 2 new members confirmed that day: Alyssa Bates and Jared Mann. We had a birthday cake to celebrate the birth of the church and everyone was decked out in their red attire! It was a great Sunday! Click here for pictures of Pentecost!


• After the service, the Youth had their First Annual picnic and awards at Sinnissipi Park. We had a really great day and everyone left home with an award. Click here for pictures from the awards!


• On Sunday June 3rd we had a Pampered Chef party and a Scrapbooking Party in the dining room. We had a great time eating and scrapping together!


• Becca led us in worship on June 9th and 10th while Pastor Keith was away at annual conference. You can click here for a text version of her sermon that day.


• ANd then, last Sunday, the youth from Middletown Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Louisville, KY presented the Musical Godspell here at CSUMC. It was a fantastic production and we had a great time hosting them! Pictures from that event will be up soon!
• This Friday marks the beginning of "THE BLUE ROOM" which is a concert series here at Court Street featuring local bands. Check out their myspace page for more information!

Now we are in the thick of preparations for next week's DOWNTOWN VBS! We are sharing VBS with four other downtown churches! We will be hosting nearly 100 children for this great adventure and wild ride!

AND next Friday night, at 7:00 pm we'll be hosting the group Candlefuse for a concert in our basement!
